6.6/10

My stay at the Royal Villas was quite an experience. On the downside, the loud music from beach entertainers was incredibly disruptive, making it hard to relax, especially near the pool or in our room. The resort itself seemed a bit run down, with issues like plugged sinks and unreliable Wi-Fi. On a positive note, I found the staff to be extremely friendly and helpful, which made up for some of the shortcomings.

Rooms
6.0
The rooms were somewhat dated but clean and had comfortable beds. However, we experienced a lot of noise from other guests partying and arguing, which detracted from our comfort.
Service
8.0
The staff provided excellent service, especially in helping us with food and drink requests. While they were knowledgeable, a bit more friendliness could enhance the experience.
Location
7.0
The location is quite beautiful, situated right on the beach, but because of public access, it can get crowded.
Dining
7.0
Dining options were satisfactory, though there were times when the food quality was lacking compared to what I would expect from a resort.
Facilities
5.0
The resort's facilities could use some improvement, particularly regarding maintenance. Things like ice makers and fridges were not functioning properly.

7.4/10

I had a mixed experience at this resort. The staff truly stood out as friendly and welcoming, which made our stay more enjoyable. The location was great, close to restaurants and shops, but the noise levels from nearby events were a downside. The room was comfortable but could use better upkeep, especially with cleanliness and amenities. Dining options were limited, so that could be improved.

Rooms
6.0
The room was fairly comfortable, but we noticed some mustiness and the linens were stained, which was not ideal.
Service
9.0
The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, which really enhanced our experience.
Location
9.0
The resort is in a fantastic area, just a short walk from the Malecon and various eateries, making it easy to explore.
Dining
6.0
The dining experience was okay, but breakfast options were limited, and some menu items required extra charges.
Facilities
7.0
The pool area was nice and clean, with good service most days, but having smoking allowed around the pool area was a downside for us.

6.4/10

My stay had its ups and downs. The location is fantastic, with easy access to shops and restaurants, plus a great beach for walking. While the pool area is nice and the rooms are spacious, I struggled with the overall noise and some cleanliness issues. Additionally, the dining options were somewhat limited and could use improvement, especially for breakfast. It's a decent spot but comes with a few quirks that might deter some travelers.

Rooms
6.0
The rooms are spacious with comfortable beds, but linens were stained, and there was a musty odor. They could really benefit from some renovation.
Service
6.0
Service was a mixed bag. While I appreciated the friendly staff, the housekeeping wasn't up to par, and tipping seemed necessary to get better service.
Location
8.0
The hotel is ideally located on the main drag, making it convenient to access shops and restaurants. However, crossing the road can be tricky due to traffic.
Dining
5.0
Dining options were good, especially for lunch and dinner, but the breakfast buffet closes early, and there were extra charges for some menu items.
Facilities
7.0
The pool area was clean and well-maintained, although the noise from poolside music and events could be disruptive.

5.0/10

I struggled with my stay at this hotel, primarily due to the misleading description and my overall disappointment in the beach area. On the plus side, my room upgrade was nice, and the cleanliness of the hotel was commendable. However, the noise levels were unbearable, and the dining experience left much to be desired, especially for the price.

Rooms
7.0
I received an upgrade to a beachfront room on the 11th floor, which was clean and allowed for some decent sleep despite the noise outside.
Service
6.0
The manager was very nice and accommodating, but it felt like the staff was overly focused on monitoring what we were eating and drinking.
Location
5.0
The area looked quite run-down, with abandoned buildings around. It felt unwelcoming rather than a relaxing beach environment.
Dining
5.0
The dining experience was very disappointing, especially the buffet menu which I wouldn't say was worth the value given the overall quality.
Facilities
5.0
The hotel had potential with good cleanliness and design, but the noise from outside and the open structure made it feel more chaotic than relaxing.

5.8/10

I had a very mixed experience at this hotel. While the location is fantastic with easy access to restaurants and bars, and the pool area was enjoyable and clean, the room left much to be desired with unkempt linens and lingering odors. The service was decent, but I had some encounters that were disappointing. Overall, it was a passable stay, but I wouldn't say it was great value for the money.

Rooms
5.0
Unfortunately, the room we were initially given had issues with cleanliness, including dusty linens and a musty smell. After voicing our concerns, we were promptly moved to another room where we could sleep more comfortably.
Service
5.0
The service was hit or miss. Some staff members were friendly and helpful, like Jaime by the pool, while others seemed overwhelmed with events and were not attentive.
Location
7.0
The hotel is located in Plaza Dorada, which is ideal for exploring local bars and restaurants. However, traffic noise can be a nuisance.
Dining
6.0
Dining options were decent but limited. The breakfast buffet closed too early, and some food choices had additional charges. Nonetheless, the quality of the food was generally good.
Facilities
7.0
The pool area was a highlight with a well-maintained clean atmosphere, though the loud music on weekends could be annoying.
